Growing Info, follow in order:
Scarification: Pour boiling water over seed , let stand in water for 24 hours.
Stratification: cold stratify for 90 days.
Germination: sow seed 3/8" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed.
Other: if boiling water treatment does not allow seed to imbibe, sulfuric acid treatment is required. fall sowing in mulched beds is prefered to artificial stratification.

Cotoneaster lucidus (called Hedge cotoneaster , or Shiny cotoneaster ) is a deciduous, medium-sized shrub with long, spreading branches reaching heights (and breadths) of 6' to 10'. It is native to parts of northern Asia, and adapted to tolerate colder weather (to zone 4). C. lucidus was described in 1856 by Diederich Franz Leonhard von Schlechtendal.
