Growing Info, follow in order:
Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours.
Stratification: cold stratify for 120 days.
Germination: can be sown outdoors in the fall for spring germination, sow seed 1/2" deep, keep moist, mulch the seed bed, remove mulch upon germination.

* Magnolia denudata a rather low, rounded, thickly branched, and coarse-textured tree to 30' tall. The leaves are ovate, bright green, 15 cm long and 8 cm wide. Bark is a coarse dark gray. * The flower buds and the seeds are carminative and diaphoretic. The flower buds are antifungal, astringent, cytotoxic, hypotensive and a uterie stimulant. They are used in Korea in the treatment of headaches, nasal obstruction and sinusitis. They are picked in early spring, dried and then used in Chinese medicine to clear the nasal passages.
