Growing Info, follow in order:
Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours.
Stratification: cold stratify for 60 days.
Germination: sow 1-2" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed.
Other: fall sowing in mulched beds is prefered to artificial stratification.
As a hybrid of Quercus alba (white oak) and Quercus macrocarpa (bur oak), it shows the characteristics of both. The leaves are larger than white oak and are variably lobed. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil.
